Description In October 2008, be among the
first to enter the international record books by being part of
the most fabulous skydiving adventure in the world.
This adventure surpasses any experience in tandem skydiving so
far. Since 1991 the tandem skydiving community has landed onto
both the North and South Poles, ~ fabulous and awe inspiring adventures
in their own right, and as such they were the historic building
blocks for this new and exciting challenge.
The Mount Everest (29,035ft) tandem skydive pushes the boundaries
harder and higher, for this is a challenge taking tandem skydiving
into two harsh and extreme environments ~ high altitude at 29,500ft
plus extreme cold.
The jump dates in Nepal cheat the 200mph jet stream that roars
across Everest's summit, and the Drop Zone (DZ) is the highest
in the world at 12,350ft.
Combine the visual impact of looking onto the summit of Mt Everest
and some of the other highest mountains in the world and freefalling
past them, this adventure is a feast for those who seek to stimulate
all their senses to the point of near overload.
Skydive Everest draws upon the knowledge and skills of an unusual
group of tandem masters and
skydivers, some of whom are also Everest mountaineers. By
drawing on detailed knowledge of the geographical area of Mt Everest,
the surrounding Sherpa lands, and skills learned in both disciplines
the adventure has been brought to fruition after two years of
meticulous planning and preparation.
The first Everest Skydive season is to be filmed for distribution
worldwide and will include the world's highest ever tandem charity
jump to raise funds for Global
Angels.
